About Mackenzie
From the age of sixteen, Mackenzie Taylor has been inspired by the intersection of law, government, and business, ultimately dedicating her career to helping clients achieve their business goals. Mackenzie’s practice emphasizes collaborative solutions in transactional law, including entity formation, business planning, and structuring mergers and acquisitions. She works closely with clients to craft agreements and navigate negotiations, ensuring their legal needs align with their broader business strategies.
Mackenzie brings a diverse legal background to Peterson Russell Kelly Livengood, shaped by her broad experiences during law school and her early career. Eager to find her true calling, she explored various areas of law, initially working at a personal injury firm where she discovered that litigation was not her preferred path. This realization steered her toward transactional law, where she could focus on building agreements and fostering positive outcomes for all parties involved.
Her clerkship with the Honorable Avis Bishop-Thompson at the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, was a transformative experience. Mackenzie was exposed to a wide array of legal issues, honing her analytical and writing skills while gaining invaluable insights across multiple legal disciplines. Judge Bishop-Thompson served as a mentor and sounding board, helping Mackenzie solidify her decision to specialize in business law. This experience prepared her to enter the field with confidence and the ability to adapt to new challenges quickly.
At the Seattle Symphony, Mackenzie further developed her transactional expertise by drafting contract provisions for construction and refurbishment projects, revising terms of use for digital platforms, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations. Her role at Pauley Law Group allowed her to assist with client representation, discovery, and legal research, reinforcing her commitment to providing thorough and effective legal support.
Mackenzie’s adaptability and dedication were also evident in her work with the Public Disclosure Commission, where she analyzed campaign finance and cryptocurrency laws, and at the Sexual Violence Law Center, where she conducted in-depth legal research and drafted briefs. These experiences showcased her ability to tackle complex legal matters and her commitment to serving diverse client needs.
When not practicing law, Mackenzie finds joy in exploring the vibrant culture of the Pacific Northwest with her friends and family, frequenting local bookstores and coffee shops. Her love of reading spans genres like fantasy and romance, and her passion for travel has taken her across the globe.
