Celebrating One Year: How Hands-On Experience is Shaping My Career at PRK Livengood

This November (2025) marked my one-year anniversary at PRK Livengood, and it has been a period of immense professional and personal growth. I was drawn to transactional law over litigation and
am happy to confirm the work has been profoundly rewarding. My first year was a “jump into
the deep end” that allowed me to accelerate my development, moving from my first major
transaction to bringing on my own clients.

One of the most significant developments has been establishing my own process for handling
transactions. I’ve learned that transactional work requires a blend of rigorous legal diligence,
effective communication, and strong organizational skills. I now have a reliable system for
everything from email management—a surprisingly critical part of the job—to using tools like
Excel for detailed notetaking and tracking documents during diligence review. This personal
development in process efficiency means clients can trust that their transactions are being
handled with meticulous care and attention to detail.

I’m particularly grateful for the firm’s supportive culture. The partners, attorneys, and staff have
